F.Y.R.O.M.'s true history

(By Panagiotis Foukas, Helliniki Agogi, May 2006, Pgs. 18-22. Translated by Yiannis)

At the Northern borders of Greece and between Albania, Serbia and Bulgaria lays today the little state of Skopje, internationally known as FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). This little state is making efforts to enter in the European Union (EU) and wants, by self- proclamation, to be called Macedonia! Even though at first this sounds, at the very least, ridiculous, to the ones who know history, the fact alone that has been recognized by the American government with its constitutional name, creates the need to make a historic reference to the birth of this state morph, so that we can give an answer to our Skopjen to comprehend their true creation so they can stop boasting after having coaxed themselves to a great delusion thinking that they are the descendents of Alexander the Great…
The whole idea of a is much older than anyone could believe. It was created about a hundred years ago by the Bulgarian propaganda. The Ottoman Empire was breaking up during the 19th century and the countries-nations of the Balkans were trying to secure each one of them for themselves, their territories. Bulgaria, after the Treaty of Berlin (1878) , wanted to liberate all the enslaved Bulgarians who were in Macedonia and Thrace, thus extending their boundaries. For this reason were formed the BMORK (Balgarski Makedono-ordinski Revolocioni Komiteri = Bulgarian Makedono-andrianopolitical Revolutionary Organizations). In 1896 becomes accepted the Charter of the organization , known since 1950 as BMOPO. This organization fought for the political autonomy of Macedonia and Thrace.
The 20th century changed the stage in the Balkans. During the Balkan wars the Greek army liberated 80% of the lands of historic Macedonia (the rest 20% was shared by Bulgaria and the United Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia) and the exchange of populations, after the Minor Asian catastrophe with the relocation of about 700,000 Greek refugees to Northern Greece strengthened the presence of Greek element in the area reaching 90% of its population!
In 1921 the Bulgarian communist leader V. Kolarov, during the third Conference of the Balkan Communist Federation (BKO), in Moscow, submitted again the subject of an autonomous Macedonia, which included the three pieces of the area, Greek, Bulgarian, Yugoslavian. The decision was positive! The sixth Conference of the BKO sided with the idea of an autonomous Macedonia with the prospect to enroll it within the boundaries of a communist federation in the Balkans.
The Second World War changed, at the beginning, the situation in favour of the Bulgarians, as the occupying power, it tried to Bulgarize or more precise tried to eliminate the Greek population of Macedonia. The defeat of the Axis, however, changed their plans.
In 1945 field marshal Tito confederated the United Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Thus the Confederation of the Socialist Democracy of Yugoslavia was born, which consisted of the Socialist Democracies of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Montenegro and the . This decision was clearly against Serbia itself, because, Southern Serbia was removed from her, but also against Bulgaria and Greece since this small state wanted (wants…) to annex all the lands that these countries occupy.
Despite Tito’s attempts and the Bulgarian leader’s Dimitrov, the Yugoslavian and the Bulgarian never agreed to unite. After this failure, the Yugoslavian was used as a lever to press claims against Greece and Bulgaria, since the of Vardar with the establishment of a state transformed themselves to self-proclaimed protectors of the of the two neighbouring countries!!! With this move, Tito succeeded to revert Yugoslavia to a major claimant of Macedonia, at the same time cultivating systematically conscious,
